SUNWARD recently shipped its self-developed SWDE165B integrated down-the-hole (DTH) drilling rig to the North American market, marking the company’s first large-scale application of DTH drilling equipment in the region. The rig will soon be deployed in local mining operations.

Known for stringent standards on performance, reliability and environmental compliance, the North American mining sector has recognized the SWDE165B for its advanced intelligent control system, energy-efficient design, and proven field reliability—further demonstrating the growing competitiveness of “Made-in-China” equipment in global high-end markets.

Engineered for extreme and complex working conditions, the SWDE165B integrates strong power, intelligent operation and exceptional adaptability. It supports multi-angle vertical, inclined and horizontal drilling, with a drilling diameter range of 138–180 mm and a maximum depth of 36 meters. Compatible with both DTH and cutting drilling methods, the machine achieves fast cutting in soft rock and stable DTH performance in hard rock, significantly improving efficiency and reducing operating costs.

The model has demonstrated outstanding environmental resilience—maintaining efficient performance in 53°C heat in Algeria, ensuring reliable output in Arctic conditions as low as –60°C, and passing rigorous tests at an altitude of 5,600 meters in the Kunlun Mountains.
